  1. Last minute booking usually. Here is a great website that you can get cheap deals as far as 75% off original booking price.

  2. Cruise lines give the best prices for early bookings that are about a year or more in advance.  After that the prices start to go up.  If you have a group going then you need to either deal directly with the cruise line or have a travel agent do your booking so that you are assured to get all of your group in the types of cabins they want and also to make sure that thee is room for the whole group on the cruise.

From what I can determine from the cruise line web sites they do not offer group discounts, at least not online bookings.  So your best bet is contact the cruise lines to get an answer to the question of how much discount a group gets.  While all prices are listed as double occupancy, the cruise lines do give a reduced rate that is about 50% less for the 3rd and 4th persons staying in one cabin.

Go to the cruise line web sites, they have their specials posted or with a link to them. I have found that Carnival and Royal Caribbean, along with Norwegian, do the best job of listing specials. RC's specials will be listed in red as "hot sails, or "special pricing".

  3. It usually depends on the time of year and if the ship isn't full the offer Discounts to fill it.Also you need a booking site that specializes in cruises like  http://www.cruiseasy.joystar.com

    good luck..Robby

  4. For a group discount, your party doesn't need to be huge.  Most cruise lines offer group pricing for groups as small as 8 staterooms.  There are also many other discounts available from time to time including past guest and resident rates.  Your best bet is to contact your travel agent, as they should know what available for you.  You can also contact each cruise line directly if you prefer.

  5. Very early bookings (months or years in advance) or very late bookings (1 day before it leaves, you can call them up and ask to speak to a manager, then ask them if there are any current promos, many of them will cut you a deal). Sometimes cruiselines offer discounts on the internet on other peoples websites as a partnership with that site so it doesnt hurt to always do a search once in a while for "carnival discount" if carnival was the one for example and searching for that.

  6. def pack one of these. floridaflasks.com it helps you smuggle alcohol on the cruise! you save alot of money!!! drinks are very expensive on the cruise!!

  7. Any of the usual travel websites offer "discount" fares on cruises, because no one pays full "brochure" price.

VacationsToGo.com seems to have good prices.  Sometimes you can get just as good a deal from the lines themselves as on any of the other websites.

If you do have a large party and book several cabins, you often can get one fare free.  Ask your travel agent or the cruise line.
