How do you get a disk out of the car radio when it reads "eject error"?

Question

The last time our car radio did this, it took a month or so before the disk ever came out when we pressed eject...however, the disk thats inside is an audio cd from the library and i need it out pretty soon...does anyone have any tips on (if it is able to at all) how to get a disk out of the car radio when it reads "eject error"?

take a knife and put it in the hole in the center of the disc,and pull,VERY GENTLY!
