  1. pick it up,

    caress it again and again

mine always sleeps after I do that

  2. I've had a couple of couple of hamsters before, that's kinda tricky.  Try picking your hamster up while he/she is sleeping, but there is a pretty good chance your hamster will wake up from that.

  3. Your better to ask How do you get a hamster to sh*t on your hand....I'd give u the answer

  4. The hamster will only sleep on you if it feels safe. All I did was keep getting the hamster out and stroking it. If the hamster wants to walk off I let it, otherwise you can scare them. Also, if you feed the hamster by hand and while they are on you, it helps them to trust you - that you aren't going to hurt them, or take their food from them. It is easier to do when the hamster is younger, although you can do it when they're older, it is just takes longer. It can take a little while for your hamster to trust you and then eventually fall asleep on you, so you will need to have patience. The idea of getting the hamster out while it is still asleep, may not be a good one as you can scare the hamster - and sometimes they may bite because they are scared.

  5. i have always wanted to do that with mine, but 3 years went by and now she is gone :(

  6. No idea. Just let it feel tried and sleep.

  7. There's no way you can force a hamster to sleep in your lap or on your hand without using some type of sedative. If you'd like a "lap hamster", work on building the trust and bond between you two. Once your hamster feels comfortable with you, completely trusts you, and of course is tired enough, it'll probably sleep in your lap or on your hand. Trust comes with time and patience. Just keep working with your hamster. Try not to rush things. It'll come in time.

  8. Two words:

    Tranquilliser Gun

  9. Maybe just take the hamster out when it's been exercising or in the evening when it's a little more tired, put it in your hand or lap and just keep really still and make sure there aren't loads of loud noises.

  10. There is absolutely no way you can force your hamster to sleep in your hand.  It take A LOT of bonding.  I had a hamster, named Charlotte, since march of 07 she was 10 months when I got her.  She passed away on June 13th 2008.  She began to sleep in my hand around April of 08.  [I have yet to have any of my 5 other hamsters fall asleep in my hands]. It takes a while for you to gain a trust with a hamster.  I'm currently working with a new hamster I got from a rescue who had a lot of social problems.  I got her in June and she is better, but still not completely trustworthy of humans.

To gain the trust needed for a hamster to fall asleep in your hands is a VERY long process.  You should hold it on a daily basis, pet and talk to it as much as possible so your hamster gets used to you.  Always be kind and keep the cage clean [so your ham is in a better mood].  It will take a long time, but if you have the patience and love to give your hamster you are on a good start to building that trust.

  11. give it sleeping pills frum de pet shop and giv it an overdose lol

  12. make it sleep lol

  13. That could be fairly hard to do knowing that they sleep when you wake up but it might wake up and take a nap but you just have to watch carefully and pick him up. When he is awake in the day, pick him up and lets him crawl around you for a few minutes and go watch some TV or read a book while he's on your shirt or lap, he will probably fall asleep.

  14. Yes, pick it up when it's sleeping

    there, problem solved

  15. sedative...
