I have a workout video that my friend made me, and i want to edit this one part out of it by using it on Windows Movie Maker, but i can't get the clips onto the program to put onto another dvd. And whenever i try importing the video, it doesn't allow me to import the files.

  1. wmmaker is a good tool, but doesn't support a lot of formats being a free entry-level video editing software. Even some expensive editors don't support ALL formats as there are hundreds of these formats and still growing... and this is the reason why there are lots and lots of video converters w/c don't even convert ALL formats too, just the popular ones!

    - download and OPEN Prism or Kate's video converter (free)

    - insert dvd disk to pc dvd drive

    - add your .vob files from dvd folder Video_TS to video converter

    - select for output .avi (if your have enough hddisk space) or .wmv (highest resolution) & save to pc folder

    - import converted video file to wmmaker

  2. WMM is stupid. it wont import from most stuff.

  3. You need a dvd ripping software to help you rip DVD to WMV video, then you add it into windows movie maker. My friends recommend aimersoft dvd ripper to me, it's easy to use and works nice, and here is a guide about it
