sorry, i mean accepting the contact and working from behind into a folding or rolling down neck.

  1. having a good contact with the horses head gently lower your hands so they sit just in front of the saddle

    then open them so they have a gap in between and genlty apply pressure by pulling back a little towards you

    it will take time, but with persitance your horse should do it in no time :)

  2. Carefully, if the bit is too loose the horse's teeth can get damaged as it grates against them, if it is too tight the horse's mouth gets hurt and sore. Get a bit fitted and measured by a specialist. When you have the right bit and I reccommend a snaffle, dip it in molasses and the horse will be quite pleased to have it in it's mouth!!!

  3. I don't. I opted for the Vaquero method of training horses in a bosal. It really works, especially if you have good 'soft' hands.

    Soft, meaning light contact with the horse's face. Handled harshly, a bitless bridle CAN cause the horse a fair bit of discomfort.
