How do you get a job as a production assistant in NYC. Do you need any special qualifications?

Is it more of a who you know type thing. What is the compensation like?

My girl just graduated and now she is working as a production asst. for a small but busy production company. And already has she established great contacts....like u said its more of who u know.

I would tell u to network like crazy but also take some classes to show to campanies that u are very serious about persuing this career.
