Go to the websites of places you would want to work at. Most websites will have a link at the very bottom of the page and you can either apply online or print out an application. You can also go to the place and ask for an application. If not, you could use job search websites like snagajob.com, or you could look on craigslist.

How old are you and where are your parents?  Depending on your age, a paper route may work for you.  Do you have older family members who can help you with this?

Call around or ask friends. I usually hear about jobs via word of mouth. Then draft up a nice resume. I have one saved on my computer. even if the job has just an application and asks for no resume, attach one anyway. Dress the job. If your applying at a bar don't wear a suit and if your applying for a desk job don't wear street clothes. When you turn in the application ask to speak to the recruiting director or manager and get some face time in with them and let them know who you are. If you don't get a call back in a week, call them following up on your application. Good luck!
