How do you get a permit to work on Car Brakes in Oakland California?

I want to fix the breaks of the cars at my job. But I heard you need a permit to do this..Any one have more detail please.

Check with your local County Court House, they should be able to tell you where you can get one, if you really do need one to work on automobiles.

I am not aware of any locality requiring permits to work on automobiles.
