  1. Good question.. My female pit doesn't like to play with toys either.. My GSD plays fetch and tug of war (which I'ld rather the pit not play tug of war) but I can throw a rope and the pit just looks at me like "You want ME to get it?"

  2. The question should be How do you get a pitbull to let go of a toy? If your pit isnt playing with toys then he's no pit

    Add**

Pits like all sorts of toys. Mine is obsessed with soccer/vollyballs... spring pole... rope toy... tire.. anything he can get his mouth on

  3. Get a kong and fill it with peanut butter. My aunt had a dog that didn't like any other toys but Kongs.. so her dog had like 8. lol. good luck.

  4. im going to suggest what i tell everyone that has a Pit Bull and ask about what kind of toys...a springpole, if your dog doesnt love that , then thats just crazy i have necer met a Pit that wouldnt play with one, they cost around $20 to make and last a very long time... if its still a pup then just get a horse lead and hang it from a branch, what i did to get my pups used to playing with it was tie a knot at the end of the rope and put a biscuit in their your pup will try to get the biscuit which will make the rope swing and your dog will go after it, kinda forcing into play, after the dogs done playing give it the treat. if its a full grown dog then find a good hanging point attach a hook of some sort (or if around a tree attach short rope) then to that attach a garage door spring then to that a rope toy. heres a vid of what they look like.

i would suggest a kong but from the sounds of it your dog needs a toy to keep it active

  5. I'm guessing you have a one legged dog, or its REALLY lazy...all dogs will play, its the owner that wont

  6. PITTS don't like balls and stuff like that.  they like shreddid shirts and tuff rope toys they can demolish!... their favorite game is tug of war.  they are known for it... GOOD LUCK

  7. you have to get your dog excited at first and you have to play with her to get her to play with toys...

  8. A springpole is a rather exquisite toy, and not everyone has the space to build one (I know I don't...)

So just get some toys that squeak, or some tennis balls, both of which my pitbulls go BIZERK over.  Squeak the toys, make some quick movements, rub it in their face, squeak it some more, YOU have to get excited too, they'll get it!

ADD: Whatever, about the thumbs down, of course pitbulls like all sorts of toys, I was just suggesting to him to use the toys I know my dogs like from personal experience.  And springpoles DO require space, and NOT everyone has it.
