How do you get a popcorn kernel out when its stuck in your gums?

  1. Try to get it out, but make sure you don't irritate it too much, or it'll just swell up and get even deeper in there. If it doesn't come out within a few days, then seek medical help.


  2. rinse your mouth with hydrogen peroxide

  4. I usually brush my teeth and then use mouthwash. If it isn't out by then it's loose enough that I can get it out with my tongue or a toothpick.

  6. ugh! i HATE that! grab a toothpick!!

  7. You may be able to floss it out using a single piece of floss, if not, take the floss and tie a single knot in it, then put the floss in place and drag the knot under the tissue gently, removing the kernel skin.  It may take a few times to get it, but it usually comes out with this technique.  If you can't get it out, don't panic, just call your dental office, they will get you in and take care of it quickly.
