How do you get a refund from the Regal Empress/Imperial Majesty cruse ship?

Last week my wife and I attended a cruse with Regal Empress/ Imperial majesty and the smell alone was enough for us to quickly unboard before we were trapped inside of a living h**l. The bathroom was the size of a port-a-poty with mildew on the tiles, our bathroom towels were dingy grey and stained, the bed sheets were so thin I could faintly make out the color of the mattress and they were stained, the dresser had some sort of food stain on it with someone elses body hair attached to it, and the whole place smelled of sewage. Do not mistake these coments as a s****. person expecting the world out of a discounted cruse. I am a diesel mechanic and I get quite dirty everyday at work, however his place was so nasty I wouldn't have taken off my boots. My wife and I quickly got off the ship before it left, and I am looking for a refund.

  1. good luck, your only chance is if you purchased the cruise insurance

  2. I would suggest contacting the company and the Better Business Bureau. My friend booked a vaction thru this company as a gift for me and I had already seen the ship while in dock with RCL and there was no way in heck I was going on the ship. It took about 3 months and many calls but was eventually refunded the cost of the "free trip". When speaking with the company you might also want to suggest that you would not be opposed to contacting the states Attorney General. They are running a scam and according the the BBB have a "F" rating on customer service. I hope something can be done for you. It would be helpful if you had pics of the room

  3. You probably should have spoken with someone with the cruise line as soon as you decided to disembark.  You can write to the cruise line, but you may not get anywhere, unless you had cruise insurance and even then it may not help.

This is why you need to carefully research the different lines and ships.  Regal Empress is known to be of very low quality overall.

Don't give up on cruising altogether - the major cruise lines are of good quality.  CruiseCritic.com has lots of info about cruises and cruising.  There are also books on cruising at your library or bookstore.
