How do you get a room upgrade at a resort in mexico?

we are going to riveria maya in cancun, mexico.. any special things we can do to get some free perks???

mmmmmm, not so much.  the mayan riviera is nice...and on top of that, contrary to what a lot of people say, the mexican way of doing business is a little more of "i am right and if i lose you as a customer, oh well."  if they don't see a real reason why you should get some type of perk, they aren't going to do it.  my only advice...if you have any type of trouble, you might as, for some buffet coupons or something.  even then....i doubt you'll get them.
