for diamond/pearl: when u get the national dex (see 150 pokemon) then talk to proffesor, and he will give u the pokeradar.. use that and when the grass shakes u will run to it and don't forget to use max replies!!!!!!! Then u start an chain make sure u remember how the grass shakes on the first try and try to get the same one and u will start a chain and eventually u will find a shiny

you can cheat but other wise its just luck

i think its something like a 1 in 1000 chance the pokemon you see will be shiny

well in pokemin dimond and pearl you need to use the pokraydar in the grass and keep going to the grass that blinks yellow and defeat the pokemon till you get a shiney
