  1. A stitch can come from a number of things. If you haven't run in awhile or out of shape, it is common to get a stitch or cramp in your side. It usually comes from not getting enough oxygen or when you are dehydrated. Sometimes it can happen when running after eating or drinking because of the stress it puts on the abdomen and stomach. The best way to get rid of a stitch is to relax and concentrate on your breathing and just to keep running if you are out of shape or just trying to get back in shape.

  4. A stitch is a kind of mini cramp, caused by improper stretching, poor running or a lactic acid imbalance. the best thing to do is stop and tend to it with at least external massage

  5. A stitch on the right side is usually the result of stretching of the ligaments that run from the diaphragm to the liver.

To relieve the pain push your hand into your side, just below the pain and lift up your liver.

Practice exhaling when the left leg is extended out front to prevent a stitch.

  6. when you exercise, your body's cells use up oxygen. when there is not enough oxygen supply, there is a build up of lactic acid, which causes the pain. when you have rested and oxygen is more readily available, the lactic acid is converted and the pain goes

  7. You get them if you're even slightly out of shape, even walking can cause one. You can hold your hands  above your head and it helps stretch it out and relieve it.
