How do you get a urine stain out of a matress?

If a child wets the bed what is the best thing to use to get rid of the stain and smell?

After you clean it get a matress pad and change it every couple years. I never put sheets on a matress without the pad.

Get Oxy 10 for laundry stains(it comes in a blue squirt bottle).  My husband got sick all over our mattress one night after partying...it was bad, and smelled worse!  The Oxy took the stain...and the smell (yuck!) right out.

Spray the stained area with a laundry pretreater like Spray n Wash with Resolve.... Let it sit for about 1/2 hour and wipe down area with a damp sponge... If you have a wet/dry shopvac.. Use that to extract the water... Just remember to take out the paper filter.   Run a fan to speed dry the mattress.. Get a mattress protector that you can just toss in the laundry.... Good luck...
