I listen to my mom, this is what she says....

"You better behave yourself and not say anything negative while we are at this get together or you will be grounded until the next one!"

Had this problem all my life. My parents are VERY conservative, and I'm not. We had many tense years when I was in school, and now when I am older I wish that I had treated all my family better. Some friends in life will come and go through the years, but you are stuck with your family for the rest of your life! If you can bend a little, things will be better in the long run! A good relationship wit family can be an asset, a bad one can ruin your life!
