How do you get and upper ear piercing removed?

My upper ear piercing went halfway inside my ear, and I can't get the backing off. I was told to go to emergency. how do they remove it?

They use tweezer like things to remove it!

I would go asap incase of infection!

Depends on what they have to work with. They'll give you something for the pain, if you're completely not emotionally okay they can put you under conscious sedation so it'll be like a nap to you, and then decide on the best course of action; scalpels are usually used to cut away the tissue that's preventing the "jewelry" from coming out.
