How do you get another hole in your belt without ruing it?

My belts a little too big and i need another hole in it!

Get/use a leather punch.  Or you can use a nail about the same size as the other holes & & hammer a hole in it, as long as you can keep it lined up with the other holes.

Take it to a shoemaker. He will punch a neat hole in it wherever you want it.

You could use an Awl, the tood designed for leather work, but a drill is much simpler.

You can use a nail, or s***w, or icepick, or any other pointy thing you happen to have around your home.  Try to have it the same size as the holes already in the belt.  Fold back the part of the belt with te previous hole to the area you want to put new holes in.  Put the tip of a pencil or pen, (Which ever will be able to leave a mark) and mark it.  Might as well mark a few holes.  The belt laid flat will allow you to copy the exact distance between holes.   A handy tool is a leather punch with a multipal size punches so you can make changes on all your belts.   Diane

The best, easiest way is a drill.  Use a bit that's the same size as the holes that are already there, then drill a nice smooth hole where you want it.  Drill from the back side of the belt so if the tip slides around before you get the hole started it won't be scratching up the "good" side.

get a nail the same hole size as your belt and locking wrench. put the nail in the wrench and place the nail in the stove fire. after  3 to 5 minutes , poke a hole in the belt.

I have made extra holes in belts by using a paper punch (if

the leather is not too thick.)  You can get one at a stationery store.
