How do you get aphids off rhodies without pesticides?

  1. You can order a container of ladybugs, ladybugs love to eat aphids! :)


  2. You can spray the aphids with a homemade soap solution.  Use Joy dishwashing liquid.  Make a 2% solution (2 parts liquid soap to 98 parts of water) and spray on infested areas.

    Soap dissolves the waxy coating on the aphids, causing them to be vulnerable to dehydration.  They dry up and die.

  3. If you make a strong solution of washing liquid and water in a spray. Then just spray the sdolution on them, dont think it actually kills them, they just leave your plant as they do not like the taste.
