I lost a lot of weight this year...and you could see a significant difference...however, I haven't exercised since about...June :(

I find myself eating McDonald's and things I shouldn't. Help me to get back up?

  1. Remember the rest of your life starts now.  Do you want to live it as a fatty or as a normal healthy person.  Answer that question and you will know what to do

  2. Try to force yourself to eat healthy  and exercise for 10 days in a row after which time it will be easier to do and almost habit like.

The more you eat healthy and exercise the more you will want to continue doing so.

Losing weight is simple calories in  minus calories out. You need to take in less than you burn.

Don't let yourself get hungry because that is when you are most susceptible to eating bad food such as Macdonald's. Try to eat a small  healthy snack or meal every 2-3 hours so you are not hungry.

Exercising will be easier to stick with if you have an exercise partner. You will be more committed and be less likely to miss days.

Above all if you have a bad day where you don't exercise or eat poorly don't beat yourself up about it. Just move on to the next day and try to get some exercise and eat healthy.

  3. Heheh, thats like me.

I execrise in the morining with my mom for 2 weeks and then I stopped casue of pms.

    Yeah, dumb,

Anyways, after I missed that week, I felt lazy.

Stop eating McDonalds and that unhealthy food.

Start excersing small, then as you go, increase it.

  4. Make yourself throw up after every meal

  5. You have proven to yourself you can do it so obviously you are physically capable. the trick is the mental aspect. find something that modivates you to work for it. im going into the police academy in 3 months so that has been my motivation for the past 2 years. and if you are tempted to eat Mcdonalds read this book "fast food nation" lol its gross

    good luck:) Josh 19 KCMO

  6. If you can stand the taste of celery, a great way to lose weight is to snack on celery between meals to speed up your metabolism, because celery is naturally zero calories, and you burn five calories eating it, it's technically -5 calories!

Also there are 3500 calories in a pound, so if you take away 500 calories worth of the food you eat every day (pretty much equivalent to a small bag of potato chips and an iced tea) for the entire week, than by the end of the week you will have lost a whole pound without really altering too much.

If you're looking for something faster, to me, hula hooping is a total weight loss miracle! For every minute you hula hoop, you burn 10 calories. So if you were to hula hoop for an hour, you'd burn 600 calories! You'd have to power walk for three hours to achieve the same goal! Also if you hula hoop for an hour every day, by the end of the week you'd burn 4200 calories, about a pound and a half. At that rate you'd be burning three pounds every two weeks :) Swimming also burns calories faster than other exercises, if you have a hard time hula hooping, and tones every part of your body.

  7. ok just stop, u have to convince urself... somehow u get to that point where u know ur through eating junk and drag ur butt to the gym... goodluck

  8. Just remember that it's not the end of the world. What are you doing this for? Are you doing it for you? You deserve it. Don't go eat McDonald's - if you take enough time not eating it, eventually you won't even crave it. I can honestly tell you that I don't remember the last time I had it, even though my husband gets it all the time.

Just remember that you don't have to beat yourself up over it. Just pick yourself up and go!

  9. Jog a mile every day.

    AND DONT GO TO MCDONALDS!

  10. Something to keep in mind is that it' OK if you indulge in things you shouldn't every once in a while. Don't put pressure on yourself by feeling guilty about eating something that isn't necessarily healthy for you. I don't see any foods as being particularly bad, so there are no "don't eat" foods for me. Everything's fine in moderation.

Don't wait for tomorrow to make a change. Start at this very moment and be pro-active about it.  If you've managed to lose significant weight already, then you have it in you to achieve your ideal body weight. You're going to find yourself going through periods where you may not feel all that motivated to continue your progress. Let's face it, exercise isn't always easy, but it is a very rewarding and healthy habit.  Good luck with your progress!

  11. I literally am on here right now asking my own questions about this exact subject. What I have learned is, Make sure you drink at least the 8 glasses of water a day they say. I never thought I had to, but it keeps you hydrated and that alone is a big step to keeping your matabolism going to lose weight. If your metabolism slows, it's not easy to lose weight. I am an inactive person, so I now realize this. Also eating lettuce, or any green vegetables like peas, green beans, or I even eat corn, will fill you up, and keep you full a while. I just a minute ago ate a whole can of corn and I'm full. I am suprised myself!! I got green beans and peas sitting on my counter just in case!! lol Well I heard that walking a decent speed for a half hour a day does a better job for your body than jogging or running does. I think it's cause it's less pounding pressure on the joints for a person thats first starting to excercise. If you feel you have a problem area like your belly or thighs, you can do the sit ups or leg lifts for that area, 'but trust me', if you start by doing too much at once, you'll not only hurt too much afterwords, but you'll get down on the whole idea of excercising, and stop all together, so 'START SLOW AND DO A LITTLE AT FIRST', you'll always have time to do more as days go by and you get used to it. To be completely honest with you. I am so down cause of how big I feel lately, that I dont have the disciplin to work that hard and I have to stop being so depressed so I start excercising regularly. If you feel good, and determined. All you need is to disciplin yourself to do it regularly. "meaning" If your plan is 3 times a week, or every day, or a tiny bit twice a day. 'Whatever" I hope this helps.

  12. DO NOT EAT MC DONALD'S NOT GOOD EAT IF TRYING LOSE WEIGHT YOU NEED EAT HEALTH CHIOCE  FOOD DRINK GREEN TEA WELL HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT DO NOT EAT JUNK FOOD GOOD LUCK?

  13. This is kind of harsh, but stop asking and start doing.

If doing is what needs to be done, then you need to do what you gotta do.
