  2. say, please call me " first name, middle name"    when people ask who you are, tell them what you want to be called!

  3. Ask them...

  4. start tellin people to call you by it and for the people who dont know you, just tell them to call you that too

  5. Announce yourself by using first your first and middle name. They'll get it.

  6. be straight out

  7. Just start introducing yourself and signing your name as your first and middle name. Like Carrie Lynn or Lorie Lea

  8. it would be wierd to ask people you know to start calling you such and such. The best way i see this possible is for you to start introducing yourself that way.

  9. just tell people to call you that

  10. I SOOO know what you mean. Im lucky enough to have an unusual name so I hardly had this problem at school except in grade 6 when a boy's name was just the end bit of my name, so I would hear his name called and think they just hadn't said the start of my name loud enough... This is SO one of the reasons unusual names are good!!

When I was in my first year of high school a boy in my class called James stood up in the first lesson (music) and announced that he was no longer to be called James but 'Jimmy'. It was kinda funny - he was a bit of a larikin (class clown) but i STILL remember. And from then on he was Jimmy. It was weird at first as we all knew him from primary school as James. But now I look back and think he was just SO Jimmy no James lol. So you could try that. Bit embarressing at first but it works!

Another girl was new to the school and she called herself 'Peachie' with a 'shh' sound. I still dont remember her real name. She told everyone thats what she was known by on her first day.

  11. Ask people. i'v had the same prob. i've changed my name many times, no one else called me them

  12. What's your middle name?

  13. start writing it on all your forms and papers, start with asking the people closest to you to call you that.. and when people say just your first name , correct them. until eventually it will be done right.

  14. Start asking people to call you by them. :/
