How do you get cards to smell new again?

i just got a brand new set of magic cards, and they were in perfect condition, and my bro took them from me while i wasn;t home and went somewhere, when i got them back, the box they were in was all beat up and they smell really bad.. i know i am making a big deal about this, but its not fair how he takes my cards away from me without telling me, and gives me them in this state while his look the same as they did two months ago...

i know i can't do anything about the box, but is there anything i can do to make the cards smell new??? ( i know it sounds weird..)

u can spray febreez on them for a couple days and the smell would go away, or if u have a perfume you adore you could spritz some on the deck and make them very fragrant

You probably don't want to spray any air freshener on it. I would probably suggest you by new ones. YOU probably don't want to do that because it will cost a lot. Just don't spray air freshener because it doesn't PERMANATELY get rid of the smell. After like a day when you put air freshener on it the smell will come back and it will smell like the air frshener. Air freshener doesn't really work on cardboard. Try ironing them with a cloth on it, it might work? Your Choice!

the cards smell new? I thought it only happens around the time you open them, but after awhile, it'll smell like nothing.

if you spray something on them would that make them kinda wet? after it drys it'll look really beat up maybe?
