Use FLEXIBLE dates and they will come up with the lowest listed prices for the next few months. often a ticket will be $1000 for monday and wed will be $400. good luck,  also Varig.com is a major airline

Airlines don't sell standby tickets any more. The best thing is to do what others posted, go to a website such as Orbitz or Travelocity. Another way is to go to the airline's website.  Varig, United, American, and Tam all fly to Brazil from the United States.  There are many other carriers flying from Europe and Asia as well.  Bom dia.
