How do you get dog vomit out of carpet?

My dog throws up this reddish orange vomit from her dog food and I can't get it out with the ordinary stain products. Any suggestions??

A couple of squirts of dishwasher detergent and 2 cups of vinegar in a pail of warm water. Pour on and blot up with a towel. It will get rid of the odor and the stain.

Have you tried rubbing salt into the stain?

Salt's usually effective with blood and various other similar coloured stains, therefore it may work with this reddish orange stain.

Mixture of peroxide and water (spray bottle).
