How do you get essays finished?

i have a SUMMER essay to do. and yeah, i have so much time to do it, but once i sit down i just can't, my brain just doesn't wanna work. it's a five paragraph essay and i only have a few more days to finish it. Do you have any strategies i can use so i can finish my essay in time, but still not get extremely bored?

well if you can choose the topic you shouldnt get bored!

youd have so much freedom and you could actually pick a topic that really interests you

if i was in this situation id write it on a book i read..id check up on www.sparnotes.com and look for some good suggestions for topics

or id pick a controversial issue like abortion and write a persuasive eassy

you could even do it on a movie you saw...for an example :the ethics of batman" or it can even be an old movie!

you could do a really personal essay about your summer this year. did you learn something? experience some sort of life lesson?

for actually writing it, make sure you do at least one paragraph a day. follow any outlines that teachers have given you to follow

give yourself one whole day for reviewing and editing it, and making changes, the next day just sit down and type it all up!

Just break the essay down into the 5 paragraphs you need to write and figure out a topic for each paragraph.  That may help!
