  1. Have you tried hydogen peroxide? I use it to get menstual blood out. It's not quite the same, but it breaks down the biological materials really well, so it'll probably work. Use Febreze to get the smell out. It may take more than one application, then you have to let it dry, but eventually it gets the smell out, even cat spray.

I recommend when you get the stain out and the mattress dries, you should really get a plastic or rubber mattress cover.

We like the rubber ones better, because they don't crackle when you roll over, and they also last longer.

    Best wishes.

  2. burn the matress and leave the plastic on the new one and never ask that kinda $hit again

  3. I would call a company like servepro. They have enzymatic cleaners to remove bio-hazard stains. You may be able to get it out with soap and water but the bacteria will still be present.

  4. Steam cleaner add a little lysol, like a small capfull to water along with the steam cleaner soap.

  5. I would use bleach water. But thats me. I don't know I haven't dealt with this as of yet. Good luck. Maybe clean with soap water  and bleach water let it dry and don't soak it into the mattress. then use some Lysol disinfectant spray.

  6. Things You Need:

good carpet and upholstery cleaner such as Resolve

    a damp white handtowel

    Step1

This works especially well with fresh stains, but I have had success with older stains as well.

    Step2

Shake can of cleaner if necessary and apply a nice coat of foam to entire area of stain. Allow foam to sit for a few moments or up to 5 minutes.

    Step3

Blot area with damp towel. Rinse towel in clean water, wring out well and blot area again. If needed repeat process until stain is gone.

    ______________

Resolve had been excellent in my experience for removing the odor too. But odor does remain, try using a product such as Fabreze once the mattress has dried.

Once the little ones have grown out of the accident phase, you may want to have your mattress cleaned by a professional.

Whenever possible, do use a good mattress cover to protect your mattress from accidents.

    OR try this....

    Things You’ll Need:

    Sponge

    egg beater or whisk

    mild powdered detergent

    hydrogen peroxide

    enzyme cleaner

    upholstery cleaner

    white towel

    Step1

Try the mildest solution first. Mix up some "dry suds" using 1/4 cup mild powdered detergent in 1 cup warm water. Beat with an egg beater or whisk until suds form (they should look like whipped cream), then apply suds to mattress stain with a sponge. Wipe with a sponge dipped in warm water and wrung out.

    Step2

Use an upholstery shampoo to remove tougher stains. Follow instructions on the product.

    Step3

Use hydrogen peroxide to battle blood stains. Blot the stain with a white towel from the outside in as it begins to bubble. Continue until blood no longer seeps onto the towel. Some blood stains may be impossible to remove.

    Step4

Remove urine stains in the same way you would remove bloodstains, or try blotting with white vinegar.

    Step5

Tackle super tough stains with an enzyme cleaner which is a biologically-based cleaner that breaks down stains and odors. Or, consider hiring a professional mattress-cleaning company. Look in the Yellow Pages under "Mattress" or "Carpet Cleaners" (many also professionally clean mattresses.)

    Step6

Whichever method you choose, be careful to avoid liquids seeping into the mattress' padding. Residual moisture can cause mold or mildew.

    Step7

Make sure the mattress is completely dry before replacing the mattress pad and sheets.

Stains may void the manufacturer's warranty, so consider using a stain-resistant cover to protect your mattress. When buying a new mattress, ask if the factory can apply a stain-resistant product.

Use waterproof mattress pads for bed-wetters. If urine penetrates deep into a mattress's padding, the mattress may not be salvageable.

To freshen a mattress, sprinkle it with baking soda and let sit overnight. Vacuum the mattress in the morning.

Hydrogen peroxide can bleach the color from a mattress. Spot-check before using.

  7. The easiest available mattress cleaner is a upholstery shampoo, that can clean the stain or smell. You must use the shampoo as soon as possible before the stain settles into the mattress. Besides this, many other cleaning products are sold in the market. Lemon scented cleaners are excellent for clearing stains and other ugly marks; alternately lemon juice mixed with water is also effective. Another good mattress cleaner is mild white detergent powder.
