I have a camera like that, and I want to put some of the footage on my computer, but don't know how to. Does anyone know how to get it from the dvd to the computer?

  1. You need a Firewire cable from your DV cam to your PC and you need a Firewire card on your PC

Then you need Adobe Premier pro or Premier Elements so that you can edit the footage.

  2. OK here, if you bought the right camcorder, it should have a USB and you can start right up with that if you have Windows Movie Maker. If it didn't, you're basically screwed. Try to find a USB that fits it if you didn't get one with it. For the DVD's i suggest looking up software trails to rip DVD's. You can just put it in the disc slot with one of those programs and it should work.
