  1. You will not be charged for the standard report. They will ask if you want all sorts of add-ons. Refuse all of them and you will get you credit report at no charge. I have never paid for my report-done yearly for over 10 years!

    This is the site authorized by the US government and run by the 3 major credit bureaus.  You can get one free copy of each report every 12 months.  I personally pull my report from one bureau every 4 months.

    EVERY other site has a catch.  Most give you a 'free' report with a 30 trial membership in a credit monitoring service.  If you don't cancel, you are automatically billed the renew the service.

  3. Everyone is entitled a a free copy of your credit report annually.  You need to ignore the advertisements and go to the official website:

    annualcreditreport.com
