How do you get from Grand Central Station to Penn Station in New York?

My Fiance and I are going to new york next week and we need to transfer from grand central to penn. Whats the best way to get there?

Inside GCP look for the famous clock head towards Michael Jordans restuant west come out on vanderbilt (street) go left to 42 st right on 42 walk west about four blocks to 7 ave (fashion ave) left go south to 33 street and you are there in 17 mins taking your time.Cab about 7 dollars or the worst take 7 train or Times square shuttle to  2 or 3  train then one stop.The subway you are actually doing half the walk distance down stairs and through walk way tunnels. Better just to walk on the street and save 2.00.

If you prefer buses only, go to 5th Av & 46th, 44th, 41st Sts and hop on any M4 or Q32 bus.

They both terminate at 32nd St/7th Av adjusted to NJ Transit side of Penn Station.

During the AM Rush Hour, M4 also has limited running. Limited only stop at 41st St.
