  1. TFL web site journey planner

  2. Train from East Croydon to Victoria (they run about every 10 minutes off peak).  Victoria Line to Green Park (one stop). Piccadilly Line to Russell Square.

  3. I would either:

    1) Take a Thameslink train to Kings Cross, then walk to the Underground and get the Piccadilly Line back to Russel Square.

Or, 2) Get a train to Victoria, Underground on Victoria Line to Euston Square, then walk the short distance down Woburn Street to Russel Square.

    Try this website.

  4. Great question, I, know the Station. But i don,t believe that i ever met Russell. It,s very hard however,to believe that has a square tube!

  5. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/  that should do it for you.
