  1. The RER train is good and cheap...I think the "main" stations are the Gare du nord, du sud...ok north, south ,east and west...and they have metro stations attached where you can change over ( but you will need to get another ticket as I think they are separate....)

You shouild get a map and find out which of the main train stations ( and I tihnk there maybe others well...not as big) is closest to where you are staying.

  2. If you want to go by train you should take the RER that starts from within the airport. There are signs to guide you. The RER will get you within the subway system of Paris and with the subway you can go almost anywhere. There are also bus shuttles to several destinations in Paris. Info at the RATP counter. For more info go to www.ratp.fr

  3. Take the RER B commuter train from the station in CDG airport. This will take you directly to the St. Michel or Luxembourg stations which are in the Latin Quarter.

If you have a more specific destination address in the Latin Quarter I can give you more specific directions.

  4. The RER train is easy and fast.  Be sure to know what you mean by center.  It could be anything from St. Michel to Les Halles to the Trocadero to the Arc de Triomphe to Neuilly, which are miles and miles from each other
