I really want to attend USC but my parents just can't afford it. USC doesn't think we qualify for any financial aid because we own five homes, but the truth is we really can't afford another loan. I know USC has more than enough money so how do I convince USC to give me full tuition financial aid.

  1. What makes you better than others to think you deserve full financial aid?

Where did you hear that USC has plenty of money?

Student loans are in your name and not your parents so you can afford a loan.

When the real estate market turns around, maybe your parents can then pay off your student loans.

  2. I wish I could help, but honestly I'm going through the same problem. My Dad is self-employed and worked hard for years to own the three houses we have now, including the one we're living in, but there's no way he could afford to send me to UCR when I was accepted. Sadly, I couldn't find a solution in time and refused to take loans so I ended up going to a community college. Wish I could help =/
