How do you get grease off a sponge when you are cleaning up the kitchen?

Dishwasher. Cleans and disinfects.

Put it in the dishwasher and run with a load of dirty dishes.

If you have a dishwaher you can run it through there, smetimes that does not work, I have found that if you take a coffee mug which is stained, put hot water and a small amount of bleach in it, put your greasy sponge in the cup, let it sit over night then you have killed two birds with one stone. Rince both out really well.

I put the sponge in a bowl of hot soapy water and add some vinegar or a small amount of bleach.

Don't let your sponge sit in bleach for too long or it will burn it.  A good disinfectant for sponges is also baking soda.  Mix a tablespoon full of soda in a bowl of warm water and let the sponge soak for a little while.  I do that to all my sponges and wipes every two days.
