I was using plastic patches to keep my cats from clawing up my couches. Instead the adhesive from the plastic patches are stuck on the fabric. I've tried alcohol, and fabric cleaner. What will break down this rubbery glue?

  1. Try ice.  Just take a cube from the tray and apply to the spot.  Of course, don't let it sit there until it melts.  It should crystallize enough to remove it.

  2. At the hardware store, or perhaps Walmart, there is a product called "Goop".  It's great.  Squirt a little on, knda rub it in. let it sit a few moments, and the adhesive glue wipes off with a paper towel.  If there is layers of glue, repeat the process.  Not hard, at all.
