  1. you could fall of your board, fall into the water and hit your head on a rock. you could run your board into rocks. you could get eaten by a shark.

  2. assuming you mean on actual waves in the water there could be many ways.

first off you look like a good meal for a shark, secondly if you happen to wipe out near a shallow reef or near the coastline you could cause many injuries or death depending on how you hit.  if you happen to be on a monster wave and it crashes upon you the resulting blunt force on your body once again can give you several different injuries. to give you a mental image of the power of a wave pick up a gallon of water now multiply that many times over as a wave comes crashing onto you.  collision can happen if you are in  a populated area with other surfers. and i am sure there are more but those come off the top of my head.

  3. Step on a stingray :((( (I did that)

    Collision (avoid the longboarders!!)

Wipe out and cut yourself on a fin

Get slammed into a rock/reef/bottom (some people have actually died this way)

    Get hit with the board

    Shark attack

  4. Well  drowning

    the board hitting you

    someone elses board hitting you

I ALWAYS manage to hurt myself duck diveing

    Hitting the reef

    Hitting someone else

    Annoying certain sea creatures

Punching yourself in the face (yes I have done this numerous times)

    Getting worked underwater

    And who can forget sharks

Oh and I manged to strangle myself with my necklace which i should have taken off.

Oh and its not surfing really but when i always trip over my leash even though i hold it in my hand, *shurgs* I bet I'll kill myself doing something completely stupd one day.

  5. Getting hurt surfing - ah the ways are many but riding waves is usually fairly safe.

Always yield to anyone having the peak.

Know how to paddle out & what to do in the impact zone.

Know positively your skill level and never panic.

In crowded conditions - show respect - share waves.

Earn respect - know when and when not to drop in.

When paddling out know exactly what you're doing.

Never second guess what the rider coming at you is going to do. Make eye contact - always give plenty of room.

Getting hurt simply is credited to not knowing the unwritten

    global rules of surfing.

Leave your attitudes on the beach - let your surfing speak for itself.

Share the Aloha Spirit wherever you travel.

Learn everyday from the first day. Enjoy yhe wipeout.

Share your knowledge freely with others and pass on the stoke and unwritten rules of surfing and getting hurt is lessened considerably.

My Wave is the signal for everyone to take notice

    RIDER COMING DOWN......

If you are the rider DON'T BLOW IT.

How does one get hurt surfing?

BAD ATTITUDE - no respect - and in over their head.

    Being STUPID......

  6. -u like run into other ppl

-u get knockd off by a wave

-when u bail the board myt go up and nose might push ur stomach leaving u w/ a bad bruise

    lol basicly wat they said.period

  7. The most common accident is getting hit with your own board. Or on a crowded day, with some other surfers  board.

  8. The number of fins can scratch against your skin or any surface on the body. They dont look sharp- but they can be the most painful thing on earth if it comes zooming toward you. The more fins- the more pain!

  9. who cares surfings for *******

  10. sharks(I live/surf at sharkbite cap. of world),

going over the falls(means wave picking you up and throwing u down often into sandbars-can end in concusion drowning),

getting hit by own board(come up look around -don't remember anything between then and waking up on beach w/friends laughing on shore),

    hit by tourist/tourist board(avoid them),

drowning(it happens)-(uuummmm yea don't panic when under you tourists got that?)  :)

There are numerous ways I guess But every move u make is a risk so might as well have fun doing it(life)

    :)

  11. Some of the ways you can get hurt is by your own board, always take care of your board if you have to let it go be sure to dive down deep enough so that when the ankle leash pulls it back it doesn't hit you in the head. If you fall off your board cover your head from hitting the reef and look up before surfacing so you don't get run over by other surfers. You need to have good enough cardio to hold your breath between vigorous swimming.

  12. you can run into someone else.

nevertheless the pain of hitting a wave on your side, face, or stomach is pain-staking enough. or your board or someonelse's board can hit you. or you can run into coral or rock.

  13. when you surf and the surf (the waves) are big your board or someone else's board can hit you in the head. Also you can step on sting rays. You an also run into rocks and reefs.
