How do you get ink off of a stethoscope?

I have a Littmann Stethoscope with pink tubing and a pen exploded in my backpack and the tubing is now marked with ink. Does anyone know of anything that would take it off?

Brake Cleaner from a car accessory shop. Use lightly.

I like Goo-Gone for removing ink.   Alcohol is a very selective solvent and may or may not be for your specific ink.

Try some rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth...

You can use alcohol, it may not take it all out but it will fade it, it may also damage the rubber tubing so rinse it off well with warm water when you are finished.
