How do you get insurance for spinal surgury after being turned down by all major companies?

i had insurance 2 yrs. ago thru my wifes work she had to quit because of mothers alztimers now that my back is causing my legs to fall out i cant get insurance

  2. Yep, they won't take this on.

    Maybe, just maybe, your state has a high risk health insurance pool.  If they do, and if you can get in, they'll have a waiting period for pre-existing conditions.  It's usually anywhere from six months to two years.  

    That's your only chance, unless your wife wants to go back to work and pick up a job with health insurance - in which case, you'll have to wait 18 months.

  3. Look at disability coverage from your state. I have a friend that worked only 12 hrs/week and the state disability (CA) paid everything for her spinal surgery.
