  1. Depends what port. There are 2!

Theres Dublin port. You will ned to catch a bus from there. But they run regular.

& Dun Laoghaire. From there catch the train!

    No worrys

  2. Should be no problem.I am sure you can get bus or train

  3. The train is real close to the post and takes you right into Dublin.

Once youare in Dublin I recommned youtake the tour bus as it will tell you about Dublin and youcan decide from the tour which places youwant to visit. You can also use the tour bus as  transpor tto get tot he sites youwant to see as it is apick up nad drop off tour bus too.

I love Dublin and hope you do too.

( I am not affiliated with the tour bus just found it wonderfully entertaining and showed me parts of Dublin I woul dotherwise have not seen.)

  4. You can get a Bus or Train no problem, If you really wanted to you could walk. It would take about 20 minuets to walk.

  5. If it comes into Dublin Port which is most likely then you're practically in the city. There will probably be a shuttle bus but otherwise you can walk it in about 10-15 minutes. If you come to Dun Laoghaire in Dublin Bay then you can get a Dart train into the city. They are regular and not expensive. You get off at Tara St Station for the nearest area to the city centre. Enjoy your cruise.

  6. A bus. It's easy. The words to use are, "I want to get a bus in to Dublin city centre." And if the person replies, "So do I." try another person. On the front of the bus it'll will probably say 'Dublin' or something similar. But it won't say 'Belfast' . Try number 58. That'll do the trick.

  7. Two ports for Dublin, one called Dun Laoire, which is about 12 km from the city centre, the other being the Dublin Docks, Dublin Bus run in and out all the time, trip terminates at Bus Aras, main Bus station in Dublin, right next to the river Liffey, there you can get a street map with all the interesting things to see but it depends on how long you will have to vist.

  8. To the best of my knowledge there are no buses from the port to the city centre. You will need to use a taxi and ask the driver to drop you off at O'Connell street the main street in Dublin City centre. From there you can get the tour buses which will take you to the major sight-seeing places. These buses are hop on hop off and a ticket bought on  the bus will last all day. They are much more expensive than the regular Dublin bus one day tickets but if you don't know the city then they are ideal. I would recommend the Guide Friday tour bus which can be boarded outside Carroll's gift shop on O'Connell street.

  9. We went by the train right by the port straight into Dublin ....enjoy .

  10. I would be surprised if your cruise didn't arrange some sort of minibus for passengers.

Depending on where you dock, you may be able to walk up the quays, or you could get the normal ferryport bus if you dock at the ferryport.
