How do you get into Little Italy by train?

I live in New Jersey and I was wondering how to get to Little Italy via train if I am coming from Penn Station. Can anyone help me out please?

Well, you can either:

1) From Penn Station, walk to 34th Street & 6th Avenue to take N or R subway to the Prince Street station. Walk east 3 blocks to Mulberry Street. Or, again from 34th and 6th, take the F or V subway downtown to the Broadway/Lafayette station and walk east 4 blocks to Mulberry Street and then walk south.

OR

2) Take the PATH train (from New Jersey) to 14th Street and transfer to the F or V subway going downtown. Take subway to the Broadway/Lafayette station and walk east 4 blocks to Mulberry Street and then walk south.
