  1. If you want to get into something like the High School Musical production you were talking about, you'd have to start getting involved in musical theatre. Are you still in school? If you are, audition for musicals/plays there or at local theatre companies. If there are any in your area, enroll at an acting school for lessons.

Just be as involved as you can! Look out for auditions in local papers, search for them online, etc. :)

  2. Those are different things... Regarding acting... you have to identify a style that you want. A person, group, or company that really make you think "I want to do that". Find a way to practice with their technique (and i said practice, rather than study). practice is finally what will get you on stage in a solid way. Make yourself clear if you want either a JOB or an artistic activity that will make you happy. Being notorious is not necessary being talented, or, even worse, it will make you compromise many ethical things that you might not like to do or act in plays that you dont really like. The commercial circuit not always cross roads with the pure artistic lane, so you have to be focused in what you deeply wish. Welcome! Best of luck

  3. Take a reality check!

Too many girls have an overinflated idea of their talents (so do we all I suppose)!

Modelling! Are you tall, slim and do you have good facial bone structure?

Acting: Have you been to drama and/or dance school. If not, forget it! The days of walking into a film studio and getting "discovered" (and all that that normally means) are long gone.
