How do you get into cheer leading? and is it possible to cheer lead and act?

I would like to get into cheer leading, but i wanna do acting so bad! Is it even possible to have both of those careers?

& in cheer leading..how do you get into it? You know in movies ow they have big competitions and compete with other teams, do people really do that? Or is it only in school.

Sorry i just dont know a whole alot about it. I know a place called Brandon All-Stars where i live and they do tumbling and you gotta do that before you get into cheer leading.

cheerleading is usually something you get into at school. If your school cheerleaders compete then it is extremely competitive and requires a FULL commitment. I was cheer captain in high school and aside from the other school sports i was involved in it took all my free time. I'm in my second year of college and just getting into acting and there is no way I would be able to fit in practices, performances, and other team activities.  However, if you are still in highschool even if your squad competes you would probably be able to do commercials but as for feature films it would take up a lot of your time.
