How do you get into football coaching out in oz as im moving out april 08 im female 20 level 2 coach help me:)

hi im samantha im 19 and am moving to the gold coast with my partner next april. Im a qualified level 2 football coach and am currently undertaking my level 3 coaching badge. I have coached a wide range of people from children of 3 up to 16. also mens teams. i was selected out of 650 top coaches out of the country to go to africa and represent engand coaching 3rd world children. i was wondering if any body could give me any information on coaching football out in oz as its my life and would love to continue to do it. if anybody needs anymore information please do not hesitate to ask. hope you can help thankyou x*x

  1. first thing to remember is if your talking about the round ball game .. most people still refer to it as Soccer ... despite officially the name being changed .. National team is still the soccerroos .. so make sure its not an 'Australian football club' that you approach

  2. Just contact the Gold Coast football league, tell them your qualifications and they may put you on a list of people to contact when a coaching position comes up next year!

  3. Football in Australia, like the USA, is really taking off at grass roots level.  All I can suggest is forwarding a CV of your coaching quals and achievements to local clubs prior to your arrival.  Then when you get out there, get in their faces and show them what you can do.
