How do you get into the world of all things paranormal. (I've put it in a better category)?

Question

I don't have many interests but anything i am interested in i'm really passionate about. One of my few interests is anything paranormal. I'm a logical person so i would like to explore some things that have happened to me and other people i know that i just can't explain. I'm 17 and i live in Manchester England, how would i go about getting into paranormal investigaton and other such things.

Added:  To the answer above me:  Wicca is a religion - not a school of the paranormal.  While some Wiccans like myself have an interest in the paranormal, that's really not one of the main reasons to become a Wiccan.

First, become knowledgeable in your chosen subject area.  Understand the relevant theories, preferably open minded!!!  Then, look at the subjects  independently, without someone else's opinions interrupting.  

I was fascinated by the paranormal, from a very early age.  After years of studying the subject, reading everything I could, I decided to specialise, as the pantheon of paranormal activity is huge.  I learnt Hypnosis and went on to perform many experiments into "reincarnation", dream interpretation, ESP, psychokinesis etc.  

There are many paranormal groups you could join, each claiming to investigate activity.  As always, if you are curious, go and have fun with a group.  If you are serious, then apply strict scientific controls to your work and your observations of the work of others.

One word of caution!  Most of the literature is someones opinion.  Be critical, look for weaknesses in debate, before accepting anything as fact.  Rely only on your own experience, remaining open minded and critical of anything that could be explained by logic.

It is a vast but fascinating subject.  Start by study, go look at activity yourself, join a group, have fun.

Try local ghost hunts or read books about it or try looking up mythology (any sort is interesting) or try being a wiccan or pagan (do reserch befor though). hope it helps :)

well, yeah, like the answer before me, you could try TAPS. but they are a bunch of deluded fools really.best place to start is by reading. there are plenty of books on these things, and as you claim to be a logical person, try looking at it from a scientific point of view, parapsychology. but bear in mid, this school of thought is divided between the skeptics and the believers, so there maybe contradictory accounts.
