How do you get liquid eyeliner in a thin line?

Question

I use a liquid eyeliner on my eyes, and i dont put to much on but for some reason it looks like i hav eyeliner on my whole eyelid. I want it to be thinner looking and i want some suggestions on how to get my eye makeup to look like this girl's

Make sure you're in a well lit area. Tilt your face up a little and look down but not so much that you can't see where you're going. Then use just the very tip of the eyeliner brush to go along VERY close to your lashline.
