How do you get mascara out of carpet?

Three year old got a hold of my mascara and made three big streaks on the carpet with it this afternoon but I just now noticed it. We tried a make-up wipe to get it out but that didn't work very well. Suggestions?

Try some Dawn dish soap...

I use liquid dishwashing soap to clean my mascara brushes spotlessly clean. Just don't use too much so it's then hard to get the soap out of the carpet. Try one spot of dishwashing soap on the tip of your finger with a wash rag. When the stain is gone, rinse with a rag and clean water.
