How do you get more modulation without turning up the dead key?

This can be done with the AMC (automatic modulation control) adjustment, or by clipping the diode in the limiter circuit. Clipping the limiter is not recommended because it may result in as much as 125% modulation, which will sound distorted. I have clipped the limiter a number of times at the insistance of the customer and against my advice, only to have him return a week later and beg me to reconnect it.
