I'm trying to get one set of data that is monthly data to be put on top of data that is yearly. They are over the same time frame, just use different frequencies. I don't know how else to do it, except re enter data over for the yearly series so that they end up having the same amount of entries for data.

  1. In one column list your monthly values one per row and in the next column enter a yearly value or formula in one row in 12 (e.g. rows 1, 13, 25, 37, etc. or 12, 24, 36, 48, etc.)  Then select both columns of all rows with data and select Insert > Chart > a Column, Bar, Line, or XY chart type > Finish.

Is that what you want?  Or can you work with that to get what you want?

If that isn't close, please expand on your question to be more specific.
