How do you get music on an ipod nano?

Just got my brother's an ipod nano and they're dying to put music on it and i can't get it to sync to my computer. Can it be done without buying itunes?

iTunes is a free program; you can download it at www.apple.com/itunes. You need iTunes to use an iPod. The music you get off of it isn't free; I use LimeWire to get songs. Just be cautious; if you aren't careful, you might get a virus.

I would like to remind everyone that Limewire is illegal. While it is possible to get music for free, you really should pay for it to support the artists that work hard to create it.

Anyway, you download the free iTunes software, and use the included usb cable (if you did not get one, you can get one off eBay for cheap...probably $5 or so. Just search 'iPod sync cable') to connect to your computer. Once you do that, you drag the songs from your library to your iPod.

Just put some songs and click "Sync". iTunes is free you don't have to pay money.

okay first you have to download itunes here

then open up itunes

next plug the ipod into your computer using the cable it came with

then if they have any cds just put them in your computer

when it pops up on itunes select import

when it is done all the songs will have a green chaeck next to them

now those songs will be in the music folder under where it says library

you can do this with all of their cds

you can also click on the tab itunes store which is where you can download music right to your library at 99 cents per song

hen you have all the music you want in your library click under devices where it says ipod

then hit the sync button

then it will transfer all of the songs from your library onto your ipod

at the top of the computer screen it will tell you when the sync is done

Download music from limewire.

use a usb cord to get it onto the computer, go to m computer.

drag the songs into ithe file.
