How do you get nail polish off of eye glasses?

i dont wanna tell my mom i got nail polish on them because we had already gotten them fixed about 4 times. i need to find a way to get it off without harming the lenses. ive tired to use my eye glass cleaner but it wont get all of it off. i dont wanna try to use nail polish remover because i dont know if it will mess them up or not. please help!!!

  1. yes you can use nail polish remover. use a q-tip and just don't get them anywhere else besides the lense or you will remove the colour on ur frames. trust me

  3. i have one time had the same situation. Here's what i did( and what you should do) :

    1) first put on nail polish remover on the lens, use a cotton swab or something like that.

    2) then put dishwashing soap and rinse it to make sure that there is no more chemicals left from the polish remover.

    3) dry it with a towel, not a tissue!!! tissues leave their particles making it blury.

    and i am 99.9% sure that they wont mess up your glasses.

  4. If they are plastic lenses nail polish remover will be fine, but if they are polycarbonate it may possibly damage them. If you just use a small amount, keep it away from the edge of the lens and wash it off afterwards you should be fine.
