How do you get nail polish remover off a wood table?

i was doing my nails on a paper towel, and i got some nail polish remover on the paper towel. well, the paper towel got stuck to dads wood table. we have tried scrubbing it off, but that doesnt work. how can we get this off???? plz help!!!!!!!!

  1. try taking sand paper and getting it off

    it mite make the table hard but just put that stuff on it that makes wood look shiny


  2. There is NO nail-polish-remover left on the table.

    What has happened is, the nail-polish remover melted the finish on the table, and then evaporated.

    The finish then re-hardened, leaving the paper towel stuck.

    You will need more solvent to get the piece of paper towel un-stuck.

    I have a feeling the table is finished with poly-ureathane.

    You might have to do some touch-up work on the table.
